Health officials in California are monitoring four residents, three of whom were aboard the cruise. They have advised these individuals to self-isolate and participate in careful health assessments.
The European Union's Preventive Measures
The EU's approach mirrors that of the UK, recommending that returning citizens undergo medical evaluations by trained professionals and then self-isolate while monitoring their symptoms for six weeks. In the Netherlands, Dutch nationals returning from the ship have been transported directly home and will be in isolation, with health officials keeping daily tabs on their health status.

In Spain, fourteen nationals returning from Tenerife are quarantined at a military hospital in Madrid. Early tests indicate that one individual has tested positive for hantavirus, highlighting the importance of strict health protocols.
